Skelkur í bringu play simple raw noise-rock/punk with catchy melodies and psychedelic freakouts. Rockabilly, punk and doom metal influences mixed with lively performance and storytelling by their singer Steinunn Eldflaug Harðardóttir (dj. flugvél og geimskip, Sparkle Poison). The band uses custom stage decorations such as a homemade light show, videos and trippy outfits. The performances are dangerous but loose. The songs deal with dark fantasies, nonsense and altered states of consciousness.
